09 Mar Victoria’s Secret Bras May Contain Formaldehyde
A North Texas woman is one of several who have stepped forward to say that Victoria’s Secret bras are causing irritating rashes. Recently, an Ohio woman filed a class action lawsuit after tests on her Angels Secret Embrace and Very Sexy Extreme push up bras were revealed to contain formaldehyde. Formaldehyde is a chemical commonly used in embalming.
Dozens of women have come forward with similar complaints, however, Victoria’s Secret has stated that “We have strict quality controls around our products and we do not use formaldehyde in our bras. The woman’s attorneys have stated that “it may not be something that they’re specifying to put in their bra, but somehow it’s making its way into the manufacturing process because it was certainly present.”
Exactly how this formaldehyde made its way into these Victoria’s Secret bras is not quite known yet, but apparently several other women are having similar problems. Many times in chemical sensitivity injury cases, it turns out that the contamination of the noxious chemicals occurs somewhere in the manufacturing process. This is usually a mistake on the corporations part in quality control. This is quite possibly what is going on with the Victoria’s Secret Bra cases .
It is extremely important that the American public sends out a message to the corporations that put out these harmful products. Government regulation agencies MUST be made aware when things like this occur. Only pressure that comes from us, the public, will be able to make a change.
