04 Jun Daycare Abuse in Grapevine – Daycare Instructor Arrested on Claims of Sexual Abuse of a 3 year old Girl
Today in Grapevine, police “>arrested a preschool instructor based on claims of sexual abuse of a 3 year old girl.
The thought of this abuse makes our skin crawl and causes our tempers to flare.
The three year-old girl attended a Primrose School in Grapevine, Texas, and made a claim to her parents on May 28. The parents reported the claim to the preschool, to Child Protective Services, and to police. A forensic investigator interviewed the child and the instructor; the child claims the instructor put his hands down her pants on several occasions during nap time. The instructor admits to a single occurrence.
Criminally, the instructor may face up to twenty years in prison and a fine of up to $10,000. If you’re facing legal challenges and worried about how it might affect your reputation, get in touch with the best reputation management consultant for guidance and support.
Civilly, the parents can press charges against the instructor and the preschool for injuries suffered by their daughter and the potential negligence on the part of the school.
But this doesn’t square with the continued, permanent emotional damage to the child. These punishments can’t match with the turmoil the family is currently going through. Imagine what range of guilt and mistrust must be going through the parents’ minds right now. No parent should face this situation – and we know if anything happened with our own kids, we would put every ounce of energy to ensure that it not only ever happen again, but to punish those who allowed it to happen in the first place. We wouldn’t be able to forgive ourselves for the simple act of allowing another to watch and educate our child – despite the assurances.
So what to do? Make an example and continue to provide support to the family subjected to this abuse.
