09 Mar Utility Worker Killed by Falling Pole
After storms swept through DFW last week, workers scrambled to restore electricity and clean up storm damage around the metroplex. In an effort to replace a damaged electrical pole in Hurst on Saturday, the new pole fell onto two of the workers — leaving one with facial injuries and killing 24-year-old Thomas Lansdale of Oklahoma.
The workers were part of an Oncor subcontractor, Quanta Utility Services. Though on-the-job / construction site accidents are fairly rare compared to other forms of injury, such incidents are often deadly. If you or someone you know has suffered injuries as the result of a workplace or construction site accident, contact a personal injury attorney by calling 1-800-Attorney or fill out a free case evaluation.
