Often doctors know that an operation will help a child who has Cerebral palsy regain the ability to walk. They don’t always know where to operate. A new technology available in limited areas is resolving that problem. Motion analysis is a way of pinpointing exactly where to operate. Reflective markers are put on the individual’s body and digital cameras follow the markers and send that information to a computer, giving doctors a 360 degree view of the body.
