09 Mar Is Insufficient Medicare Funding Diminishing Nursing Home Quality?
In a field hearing of the House Human Services Committee in Texas March 13, Tim Graves said the quality of care given in Texas nursing homes is adversely affected by a lack of state and federal funding. The state of Texas’ Medicaid reimbursement rate ranks 49th nationally, and proposed Federal cuts could further lead to the demise of the care given the state’s most frail and vulnerable population.
