14 Aug Car Crash in Dallas Kills 1, Injures 2
What a sad story. WFAA is reporting an accident here in Dallas that has claimed the life of an elderly man.
A driver lost control of his vehicle and ran into a car and a pedestrian yesterday. The accident left one man dead and a child seriously injured.
According to police, Victor Pineda, 78, was out gathering cans on Kiest Boulevard when he was hit by the out of control car. The driver of the car had been speeding and swerving around making U-turns while he drove on Kiest Boulevard. One of the U turns caused the car crash that ended in Pineda’s death.
Authorities discovered the driver and an injured child in the car. They were taken to Parland Memorial Hospital with serious injuries. The driver will be charged with vehicular manslaughter and child endangerment.
What was the driver thinking? Why would he be so foolish by driving the way he was? Was he drunk or on drugs? Either way, this sort of thing is unacceptable.
