01 Aug Even More Semi Truck Accidents to Report
More semi truck accidents to report.
The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) along with a couple of DUI attorneys state that a mess from the wreckage of a semi truck on I-15 was one of the worst they’ve seen in a long time. A semi truck hauling a large load rolled over a couple of hours before rush hour. The 210,000-pound payload ended up on its side, laying across the freeway, blocking the path of many motorists. UDOT helped direct traffic and patched up the road, but its crews had to also provide roadside service to about 20 drivers.
So who pays for a big mess like this? At the present time, UDOT will pay for the semi truck accident damage. The state insurance company will then go after the trucking company for the money.
On a more somber note, a coroner in Henry County Kentucky has released the identity of four people from the Nashville area who were killed in a horrible crash on Sunday.
The accident happened at around 8:30 p.m., when a car driven by Jackson Scott Harris slammed head-on into a semi before it burst into flames. All four people in the car died as a result of injuries sustained in the accident. The semi truck driver suffered only minor injuries.
