30 Jul 2 More Tractor Trailer Accidents This Week
A semi-truck in South Wichita, Kansas hydroplaned during heavy rains at about 6:30 pm on Tuesday evening, coming to rest on top of a bridge over the Arkansas River. The fire department was also called in because some diesel fuel spilled onto the highway. The semi truck accident had the road closed down for several hours. No injuries have been reported.
In other news, a couple in Iberia was killed in a semi-truck accident on Monday morning. Seventy nine-year-old Theodore Sanning pulled his 2000 Buick into the path of a tractor trailer at the intersection of Highways 42 and 17. The semi truck rammed into the side of the car and mister Sanning was killed at the scene of the accident. His 82-year-old passenger was taken to Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach, where she passed away. The driver of the truck was not injured.
