2 Auto Accidents in Texas Leave 7 Dead

Two auto accidents occurred earlier this week, and ended in seven people dead and two injured.

An auto accident early this morning in Odessa killed three people and injured two others. Police in Odessa said that the three people who died were in a car that went out of control and ran into a truck.

The Odessa American reported that the three victims died at the scene of the accident. The Medical examiner identified the dead as 30-year-old James Lee Sewell, 30-year-old Jodie Elaine Sewell and 22-year-old Tyler Heath Swindall of Brownwood.

The crash occurred at around 3:00 a.m. on Sunday.

Another auto accident in West left a man, a woman and two toddlers dead after an SUV slammed into them on a frontage road after their car broke down.

The Texas Department of Public Safety stated that the couple were walking alongside their children--a 1 year old and a 2 year old--Thursday night alongside the I-35 frontage road, around 15 miles north of Waco, when they were killed.

Apparently the SUV ran over a curb and slammed into them from behind, launching their bodies 100 feet. The driver was interviewed, although no charges have been filed as of yet.
